DIY Watermelon Craft Ideas - Red Ted Art
Jump to Project Print Project. Supplies 1 paper plate 1 jumbo craft stick Acrylic craft paint green, pink, light pink, black Scissors White craft glue. Instructions Cut a V-shape from the paper plate to create a watermelon wedge. Paint the craft stick and the rim of the paper plate green. Use light pink to add a border between the green and pink paint on the paper plate. Use the handle end of a large paintbrush dipped in black paint to dot on the seeds. When everything is dry, use white craft glue to attach the craft stick to the back of the paper plate.

Color each half with red and greens as shown in the photos. Please note: The bottom side of the plate will become the outside of the finished purse.

Use black to draw in seeds make tear-drop shapes 5. Cut yarn or trim to desired strap length.
Glue curved edges of plate halves together, sandwiching about an inch of the purse strap into each side. A pouch will be formed when put together correctly. Let dry thoroughly about 2 hours. This will add strength to the bottom of the purse as well.
